Stop sign approved for problem intersection |

It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood! At the Traffic & Parking
Commission this afternoon, a surprise motion was made and passed for a
3-way stop for this trouble spot. (PW had initially recommended no
change, but allowed that moving the existing stop sign on Eastland N-
bound would most likely be done anyway.) Thanks to our wonderful
Councilmen Cole and Jameson for speaking to the issue and inserting
that a 3-way stop was most desired by neighbors. Neighbors
representing adjacent neighborhoods and businesses spent over 2 years
working on this and also spoke in support of the 3-way stop and shared
concerns and frustrations of living with, as Congressman Cole referred to it:
"the Nascar curve".
Daddy always said that good things come to those who wait.
